![]() ![]() AAA devs are doing the same thing, but they usually don't have to write anything meaningful and game sites will write about them anyway. Small devs don't have money to keep posting ads and trailers and sponsored content for months before release, they can't rely on chance that some streamers will pick it up and promote by playing it, so they rely on spreading small news. It doesn't matter if your game is good if no one will remember it exist, it won't sale itself. Even small information like that will result in news on game sites, which will cause some people to discover the game and some people to be reminded of that this game exist. At this point the goal of marketing isn't only to convince you game will be good, but also to inform people that game exist.
